Arsenal Security
Accredited Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) for the defense and intelligence community — engineered, accredited, and operated to ICD/ICS 705 standards for the most classified national security workloads.
What is a SCIF?
A Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility
A Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility — commonly called a SCIF (pronounced "skiff") — is an accredited, physically secured workspace authorized to handle Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Top Secret material. SCIFs are the controlled environments where the United States intelligence community and defense partners store, discuss, and process the nation's most closely held classified information.
Governed by ICD/ICS 705 — the Intelligence Community Directive and Specification governing Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities — a SCIF must meet stringent standards across physical construction, acoustics, electromagnetic emanation control (TEMPEST), access control, and technical surveillance countermeasures before it can be accredited for use. Every accredited SCIF is the result of formal design approval, controlled construction, and certification testing.
Inside a SCIF, cleared personnel can review classified intelligence, conduct secure communications, and run compartmented programs with confidence that the information stays contained within the accredited boundary. From portable, modular facilities to permanent installations within data centers and operations centers, SCIFs are the foundation that makes classified national security work possible.
Controlled Compartment
An accredited area where SCI and Top Secret material can be stored, discussed, and processed without risk of compromise.
Formal Accreditation
Design, construction, and certification reviewed and approved under ICD/ICS 705 before classified use is authorized.
Emanation Control
TEMPEST shielding and acoustic attenuation prevent electronic, acoustic, and visual signals from leaving the facility.
Cleared Access Only
Only properly cleared, read-in personnel pass layered access controls to reach the compartmented workspace.
Arsenal Security
Accredited SCIFs, delivered end-to-end
Accredited SCIF Construction
Purpose-built Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities engineered to ICD/ICS 705 standards — from TEMPEST shielding and acoustic isolation to reinforced perimeter and access control.
TS/SCI-Ready Enclaves
Compartmented workspaces certified to handle Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information, with layered physical, technical, and procedural controls aligned to DCID expectations.
Full Lifecycle Support
Design, accreditation, construction, operations, and continuous monitoring — a single accountable partner from greenfield to ongoing inspection readiness.
Inside a SCIF
Engineered controls across every layer
TEMPEST Shielding
Electromagnetic emanation controls and shielded enclosures that prevent signal leakage, ensuring classified processing remains contained within the accredited boundary.
Physical Hardening
Reinforced walls, floors, and ceilings; soundproofing and acoustic attenuation; and controlled perimeters engineered to defeat forced entry, surveillance, and eavesdropping.
Access Control
Multi-factor personnel clearance verification, mantraps, and layered intrusion detection ensuring only properly-cleared, read-in personnel reach the compartmented area.
Continuous Monitoring
Intrusion detection, technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM), and accreditation sustainment inspections that keep the facility inspection-ready at all times.
